My name is Deirdra, which explains the D part of Lady D Speaks. I have been married to my high school sweetheart going on 18 years this July. I’m a mother, 1 son and 3 daughters, and they are my world. I’ve been homeschooling for a few years now and have loved every minute of it. Even on the difficult days. And yes, there have been difficult days. I love books. And when I say love I mean that I have an overpowering need to buy and read as many as I can. My dream house is one with a library similar to that in Disney’s Beauty and the Beast. Along with reading I am passionate about writing (obviously) and coffee is my staple drink. I have a small group of friends because I believe in quality over quantity.
I’m a optimus, masquerading as a realist, who is wholeheartedly a hopeless romantic. I can be a worrier at times, but I’m working on that daily. I am a Christian who is consistently making mistakes, but by grace is forgiven. Music and art can move me to tears or fill me with joy. I wish I traveled more, though I have anxiety when flying. I’m just an ordinary person created by an extraordinary God.
